Food inspirations

I am always on a lookout for some good ideas for my cooking. Here is something new in my repertoire. A little bit of soft goat cheese sandwiched between two rounds of microwaved beets (you need to poke a raw beet root in a few places, so it does not blow up and wrap it in a paper towel)

In a center there are pieces of lox. It is a cold appetizer.

Plus this delicious traditional Dutch mustard soup.

In a center you see a garnish of bacon and green onions.
If any of you are interested in this recipe, I can post it later.

O.K. people! Here it goes!

As you know I was given the opportunity to give away two free passes to Vogue Knitting Live in Los Angeles. The deadline for comments was August 1st.

I want to thank all of you for participating. We all have something in common: knitting.
Make sure you come back and see what else I have to give away. There is still this giveaway going on. I have more coming.

Today's winners:

I assigned the numbers to people who left comments. There are two comments from the same person. So, although there are 17 comments in total, I used 16 as a total number and the one comment from "Clara" did not get an assigned number. This way it is all correct.

The numbers were put in The Random Number Generator twice to get a winner one at a time.

Are you ready?...............................

The first ticket goes to......... the number 9............ "Larkin" !!!

The second ticket goes to......... the number 2............ "Pam" !!!

CONGRATULATIONS TO YOU BOTH !!! Please send me your email addresses. I will forward them to Vogue office and they will send you the pass.

This is so great! I love doing this. I hope you will go and make sure to find me there.
